2018 Milestones and Highlights

85^th Anniversary

In August of 2018 we celebrated our 85^th anniversary as a law firm.  The firm was initially founded in 1933 by Colin Rushmere, who was later joined in practice by Issie Noach.  Together they created the base of principled integrity and superior levels of service on which the firm’s directors still build today, and which has earned Rushmere Noach Inc its reputation as an approachable, trustworthy and reliable legal services provider in the Eastern Cape. 

For the past 85 years, clients have entrusted their legal matters to us, and we measure our success by the loyalty, support and high regard of our valued clients.   

Managing Director Steve Gough describes the anniversary as “An opportunity to reflect on the core values and tradition of our practice, as well as to affirm its continued commitment to providing quality legal services to clients.  We thank our clients for their support and look forward to many more years of continued partnership with them.”

Directorship reflecting gender diversity

We are proud to announce that Rushmere Noach’s directorship reflects our commitment to gender diversity.  The June 2018 appointment of Shelby Roberts to our board of directors brought the firm’s directorship into balance, with equal numbers of male and female directors now heading the firm. 

This balance bucks the national as well as international industry trend, and reflects the firm’s commitment to the empowerment of our many skilled and gifted female attorneys.
