Established Gqeberha based law firm, Rushmere Noach was excited to welcome a group of 11 children from Reach for a Dream on Friday 15th July in celebration of Mandela Day on Monday, 18 July 2022. This was the first face-to-face party since 2019 following lockdown where Rushmere Noach was able to once again host dreamers from Reach for a Dream.
This year’s Mickey Mouse and Friends themed party represents the sixth year that Rushmere Noach celebrated the international holiday with Reach for a Dream. Festivities took place at the firm’s offices where the children were treated to games, a jumping castle, gifts and treats.
Lockdown did not stop Rushmere Noach which continued to celebrate Mandela Day and support Reach for a Dream by staff members spending 67 minutes to put smiles on the faces of dreamers and filling 67 dream treat bags in 2020 and fulfilling 4 dreams for 2021.
Reach for a Dream encourages children to use their dreams to fight life-threatening illnesses and try, as far as possible, to make these dreams come true. In July 2022 Reach for a Dream celebrated 34 years of fulfilling dreams of children all around the country.
Reach for a Dream is a foundation that Rushmere Noach is inspired by and privileged to support. The Mandela Day celebration sees staff members at Rushmere Noach – directors, attorneys and admin staff alike - getting involved, dedicating their 67 minutes and making a positive difference in the lives of the children in our community. Reach for a Dream is one of Rushmere Noach’s identified charitable organisations. Through its long-standing collaboration with Reach for a Dream, Rushmere Noach, in the true spirit of the Mandela Day campaign, endeavours to support the foundation throughout the year, not only on Mandela Day.
The global theme for Mandela Day 2022 is “Do what you can, with what you have, wherever you are.” Rushmere Noach encourages all to join in making a positive change in our community by doing what they can in their own way this Mandela Day.
