“In a continued commitment to drive awareness and fight for gender parity, the law firm of Rushmere Noach Incorporated aligns itself with the 2023 International Women’s Day theme of “Embracing Equity”. Says James Parker, the firms Managing Director.
As a testament to this the firm boasts a staff compliment that constitutes a seventy-nine percent female representation and a gender transformed female majority Board of Directors.
During July this year the firm was proud to announce the appointment of their sixth female Director of the Board, Refilwe Tsatsimpe. Refilwe completed her LLB at Nelson Mandela University in 2019 whereafter she joined the firm, commencing with her candidacy.
Refilwe was admitted as an attorney of the High Court in 2021, and practices in the Commercial and Litigation departments.
Refilwe joins fellow female directors Judy Theron, the firms first female Director who was appointed in 2000, to be followed by Liane Koorsse, Nicole Deschamps, Shelby Lubbe-Roberts and Rochelle Velkers.
This collective of female leaders and decision makers cover the full spectrum of services offered by the firm, such as Litigation, Conveyancing, Bond Registration as well as Corporate, Commercial, Employment, Family and Criminal Law.
The firm’s focus on empowering women is ever present with its professional team further being represented by Professional Assistant Mmabale Masipa and Candidate Attorneys Asiphesona Madlingozi, Bongiswa Simon and Thato Ruselo.
The journey toward women’s equity is not the responsibility of one gender alone, but rather a collective effort to ensure fair treatment and access to all opportunities regardless of gender.
Rushmere Noach Incorporated celebrates the empowerment of women, through executive leadership, mentorship and merit recognition thereby embracing inclusion and affecting positive change for the future.
