Kariega Foundation Trust (Save the Rhino)

The Kariega Foundation Save the Rhino Trust is a cause very close to our heritage and hearts. We have once again pledged to the cause with a donation of R10, 000.00 to the Kariega Foundation this year. The Kariega Foundation was established following the poaching during 2012 of two of the reserve’s rhino, Thandi and Themba, to. The Kariega Foundation is geared towards anti-poaching on the reserve, caring for Thandi and to protect the reserve’s rhino and other rhino generally. They all need the support and commitment from our community. Find out more on the Save the Rhino page.

Igazi Foundation

Liane Koorsse and Judy Theron attended the Jason Kieck Belle Opaque Fashion Extravaganza with clients at the end of October. The money raised was in aid of the Igazi Foundation Paediatric Oncology Ward, situated at the Provincial Hospital, Port Elizabeth which offers medical care to the children of the Eastern Cape where previously such care was only offered at the Red Cross Hospital in Cape Town. Liane also lead an Easter egg happy surprise for the children in the year, much to their delight! Find out more on the Igazi Foundation page.

Movember

The RNI Movember Function is organized annually by James Parker. An invitation was again extended to our clients, colleagues and friends to grow a beard or moustache to create awareness during the month of November. This year the function was held on the 26th of November at our offices. Through pledges received, which amount was matched by Rushmere Noach, an amount of R15, 000.00 was donated to the St Francis Hospice. Thank you to all for supporting this initiative!
